Place: Monks Cowl Campsite Champagne Valley, Drakensberg
What is included: your entry,&camping fee, bonfire, 3x guided hikes, braai (bring your own food)

1: Friday afternoon:

Blind Man's Corner (up Keartand Pass and down past the Sphinx&Crystal Falls)
Distance: appr 12km
Duration: appr. 6 hours
Regular hiker: Grade 3
Casual Hiker: Grade 4
3: Sunday monring:
Hlathikulu Forest, Sterkspruit and Nandi Falls
Distance: appr. 9km
Duration: appr. 3-4 hours
Regular hiker: Grade 2
Casual Hiker: Grade 3
Please note that moderate fitness is required for all 3 hikes!
What to bring::
for the hike: snacks, water or cold drinks, a cap, a backpack. also a phone or camera to capture all the beauty!
Hiking boots with good grip. a hiking stick is highly recommended. please bring one OR purchase one from us for only R200.
For camping: all your camping gear (tent,sleeping bag, mattress, lights and whatever else you think you may need. All your food and drinks.
OR RENT THE GEAR FROM US!
2 men tent R300 for the weekend.
4 mean (more spacious tent R450 for the weekend.
Sleeping bag+ mat R150pp

Please note that this event is going ahead whether it rains or shines and will only be cancelled/postponed under extreme conditions (extreme heat/cold, hail or heavy rain). Bring a rain coat. a little bit of rain wont hurt anyone! and the bugs will stay away. ;-)

Grading Of Hikes:
Grade 1 Easy. Minimal fitness required
Grade 2 Not too strenuous. Moderate fitness
Grade 3 Moderate. Physical fitness advisable
Grade 4 Strenuous. Physical fitness essential
Grade 5 Very strenuous - high level of physical fitness essential
