More about Alison Dent

Alison qualified as a Speech Therapist and Audiologist in the 80s and has been working in her own private practice since then. In 2012 she deregistered from Audiology and contiued working as a Speech Therapist only. She has experience in working both in the in- and out patient private practice setting.

She has been serving as the Chairperson of the South African Speech Langauge and Hearing Association (SASLHA)'s Ethics and Standards Commitee (ESC) since 2016.

She also served on the National Council of SASLHA between 2010 and 2021 on a voluntary basis. During this time she was the Chairperson of the Coding Committee for two 3-year terms. She also served as vice president twice while holding concurrent committee chair positions.
