CMCB 2022 Sectional Choral Competition

Malay Choirs compete Annually to secure Top Honours in 4 Main categories of Cultural and the Folk Song Genre. All songs are performed in Afrikaans with the exception of the rich cultural “Nederlands Lied” item which is performed in Nederlands/Dutch. At the dawn of its 85^th Anniversary the Cape Malay Choir Board, can truly claim to having endured purely to preserve this rich cultural Heritage. Post Covid19 the Malay Choirs were impacted heavily as this sport is a public and interactive medium, but with persistence and through perseverance 10 choirs emerged from the discord of COVID19 to present the 2022 Annual Malay Choir Competition.
