Q. Mpumelelo presents the virtual launch of Summit Of Worship, Vol. 1 - Tetelestai (Debt Fully Paid), featuring TROY Nkonde, ANGEL Marabele, NEO Charlie, APHIWE Bottoman & WANELE Lushaba, plus special appearance by MAESTRO (saxophonist).

SUMMIT OF WORSHIP:

1. A summit is a peak, apex, or topmost/highest point of something. The summit of worship is God Himself. This project seeks to usher people to the highest point of worship, an encounter with God. Worship music is a tool to connect the heart of man to the Heart of God.

2. A summit is a meeting, gathering, or conference of important people with a common interest. This project seeks to bring worshippers (John 4:23-24), i.e., people whose lives are devoted to, and submitted to God (both musicians and non-musicians) to worship God together in song, to experience a corporate and/or personal encounter with Jesus Christ.

TETELESTAI (DEBT FULLY PAID):

This volume's title is one of the last sayings of Jesus Christ on the Cross at Mount Calvary (Golgotha) just before He died, as recorded in John 19:28-30. This states that when He saw that all the required things had been accomplished, completed, or fulfilled, He said "It is finished". The word used in the Greek Bible is Tetelestai which means "The debt has been fully paid".

When Jesus Christ uttered these words, it was a pivotal and defining moment in the history of humanity. Christianity and the whole Gospel message hangs on this saying. Jesus had completed His earthly work. He had come to pay for, and reverse the consequences of the sin of Man, with His Life (John 10:10), so that through Him humankind could be saved and their relationship with God restored so that they could live a life ordained by Him in Genesis 1:26-28 on Earth and go to Heaven after death. Therefore, we believe this project will strike a chord with many Christians and inspire faith and hope because its reflective message speaks to the very foundation of Christianity/the Gospel; it’s a timeless message.
