Her book, Eskom: Power, Politics and the (Post)apartheid State, is a groundbreaking study of the role of Eskom in South African history.

Ron Derby is an experienced writer and communicator, currently serving as the editor-in-chief of Mail & Guardian. His background includes extensive work in news, Business reporting, and feature writing for prominent print publications like Business Day, Business Times, Sunday Times, Moneyweb, and Financial Mail. Derby's international experience includes collaborations with Bloomberg, Reuters, and Financial Times.
