Makashule Gana is a proud South African, father of two and the Chief Organiser of Rise Mzansi. His responsibility includes building structures for the 2024 elections and beyond. He has served as a member of parliament (2014 - 2016), Member of Gauteng Provincial Legislature (2016-2022) and Johannesburg councillor (2009 - 2014).

Makashule holds a Bcom Honours (Economics), Bachelor of Arts (Politics and Economics), BSc (Mathematics) and Postgraduate diploma in Management. Makashule enjoys road running (4 Comrades marathon medals) and reading.
