ABOUT

The Thinkerneur Impact Series presents the 3rd session of the series.

Overarching Series Theme: Brands for good (Sustainable efforts = Sustainable business)

Topic: Making Impact part of everyday business

This session is proudly brought to you by Nestlé in collaboration with Thinkerneur.

Thinkerneur believes that all businesses at some stage should be aiming at achieving success beyond the bottom line. We believe that profits can be achieved, and communities, people and the environment can be left better off.

The idea of Impact is not an add on or a by the way initiative, it has to be part of everyday business. It has to be imbued in everyday short and long-term decision. It is a strategic decision that must be endorsed by the business. Impact as an everyday aspect of the business is a strategic imperative that must be present in every organization.

From the conversation, the take out:

We want to understand and see the value of making impact part of everyday business.

Can we prove that the business itself, and stakeholders such as communities, society and the environment benefit from this way of thinking?

How do organizations and professional start making impact and sustainability a daily mindset?

Impact Drivers (Panellists) to help us unpack this conversation:

Who to expect at the Impact Series session:

  • Mota Mota - Head: External Communications East & Southern Africa Region, Nestlé
  • Andra Nel, MBA - Marketing & Purpose, KFC South Africa
  • Nabilah Soobedaar - Associate Director, Purpose, Africa Sustainability Officer, Deloitte Africa
  • Bogosi Motshegwa - Chief Strategist & Founder, Thinkerneur (Moderator)

Bogosi Motshegwa will moderate the session. He will open the session with an introduction and set the tone for the evening.

Mota represents Nestlé as the proud sponsor of the session and he will provide insight into how Nestlé as a business is thinking about impact in their day to day operations. Nestlé is one of the world's biggest FMCG companies, and by virtue of their size, have the ability to scale their impact and therefore will provide learnings on how other players can deploy a similar mentality.

In support of the topic and conversation will be Andra, who will share her views from a KFC perspective. KFC's purpose-led approach has enabled the business and thinking to not only drive for impact, but also get the customer participating. She'll share insights into how every day activities can be streamlined to achieve corporate goals when it comes to purpose-led initiatives.

To complete the conversational perspective on the topic will be Nabilah, who will provide invaluable insights into the power of impact thinking within an organisation. Her experience and knowledge will be invaluable as she will helps us frame the topic. Her focus is embedding purpose in everything we do, with focus on making an impact that matters through the services, solutions we provide to clients and other stakeholders.
