Join us for the inaugural False Bay Lighthouse Fundraiser

a community inspired ocean event

for the NSRI in False Bay

2 July 2023 (morning)

Fish Hoek, False Bay, Cape Town

SURF SKI * SWIM * PRONE * SUP * KAYAK * WALK * POLAR DIP *

Surf ski/kayak: Fish Hoek around Roman Rock Lighthouse (10km)

Prone/SUP/shorter paddle: Fish Hoek to the wreck and back (8km)

Ocean Swim course around the buoys in the bay (various distances 500m, 1km or 1.5km in loops of 500m)

Fun Walk: 4.8 km route along the beach and Jager Walk.

Polar Dip - 10 minutes

Entry fee: R150 (all proceeds donated to NSRI direct)

SCHEDULE ON THE DAY:

7am - 8:30am: Registration( Indemnity forms will need to be completed at registration in order to participate)

9am: Paddlers and walkers start:

9:20am: Swimmers start:

9:30am: Polar Dip

11:15: Prize Giving

Events will happen concurrently so you'll need to pick just one ;)

All prizes will be lucky draw prizes; there are some wonderful prizes coming in.

You need to be present to win a prize.

All volunteers will be included in the lucky draw

Donations (listed as tickets here) are non-refundable.

Please keep an eye on our facebook page in the week before for more information about registration.

Weather will be assessed in the days before and alternative routes created if needed.

The event will not be cancelled due to bad weather.

You need to provide all your own necessary gear.

Start is at the Fish Hoek Beach Sports Club.

Swimmers must have BRIGHT caps and googles and ideally a swim buoy.

Paddlers must had PSD, SafeTrx (1 per vessel) and a leash

If you're unable to attend but would like to still donate, please use the donation ticket option or contact us directly regarding bigger donations.
