Training workshop by a South African Headcoach

The vision of the South African Senior Development Team Coaches is to uplift the debate community as much as we can.

Therefore, we would like to run one workshop in Limpopo. All funds raised through the workshops will directly fund the South African Senior Development Team projects. The workshop participants will receive training from a South African Head Coach.

The workshop will cover the fundamentals of argumental and rebuttal. Advance argumentation and rebuttal. Strategy in the debates.

A short biography of Coach Qasim:

Qasim or “Uncle Q” as his known in the debating space (due to his long beard) has been involved with debating since 2017, highlights of his career include, being selected for the South African Academy team in 2020, Coaching the South African team in 2021, serving as DCA for SANSDC 2021, being a Southern African Universities Debating Championship finalist in 2022, Cape Town Open semi-finalist in 2022 and serving as the youngest ever chairperson of the Southern African Universities Debating Council.

Qasim is extremally passionate about using debate as a means for social change and development and he is quite involved with both the schools and university circuit, he currently serves as the Chairperson of Madibaz Debating and as one of the Co-Head Coaches of the South African Senior Development team.
