Hidden Spaces with Brenda Mtambo

Brenda Mtambo’s voice is undoubtedly one

of the most powerful and soulful on the

continent. The Umlazi-born and bred artist

started belting out notes at the tender age of

five and dedicated her teen years to choral

music. Her catalogue includes

working on projects, tours and DVD

recordings with musical heavyweights such

as Joyous Celebration, Lira, Judith Sephuma and Brian Thusi to name a few.

Her latest single ‘Enza Kwenzeke’, released

in in February 2023, is a beautiful ode to

growth and conquering a difficult chapter in

her life. The song went on to achieve what

she had hoped it would — inspire anyone

navigating life's challenges.
