ABOUT
The Sumthin Brown 10-hour Show is an annual music and art festival founded and curated by Sumthin Brown in 2021. It includes a 10-hour DJ set by Sumthin Brown; a performance by 1 live band; photography and fine art exhibitions, a record fair, board games and an additional live audio broadcast by Globalize Yourself Stereo.
This year's edition is headlined by Ndingu_Omari who will be accompanied by the Black Labone House Band.
On exhibition bill is photographers, Nqobile Walker & Mshini KaZwide; fine artists, Nozuko Madokwe, Zizipho Ndulelisa & Karabo Mohapeloa (Lesotho); digital artist, Nkoanyane Pitso (Lesotho) and live painting by Phethego Kgomo.
About Railways:
Railways Café is a privately owned and independently operated cafe and restaurant located in the heart of Irene, Centurion, since 2011. Apart from running as a pub/café , it is a venue for private functions such as weddings and birthday parties. The furniture and décor speak to a forgotten era, extraordinary pieces that have been placed together to make a visual fantasy. They also have a craft and clothing market that runs throughout the weekend, and other activities you can enjoy including board games and hubbly rentals for your table.
Please note the garden area at Railways Cafe is completely free for everyone on the day, and there'll be live music and an additional vinyl market to enjoy in that area as well. Only people with tickets to the Sumthin Brown 10-hour Show will have access to the Theatre, which is where the main show will be held inclusive of exhibitions, a vinyl market, books to read, and music to enjoy.
