THEME: How to build Tech for Governments: Inside the story of challenges and solutions of building tech

ELDRID JORDAAN

Eldrid Jordaan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GovChat.Org, the Official Citizen Engagement Platform for the South African Government. Eldrid Jordaan is a former Ministerial Special Advisor and served as an Advisory Board Member at Mxit. Eldrid Jordaan currently serves as Digital Communications Advisor to various African Governments and is a United States of America Department of State IVLP Alumni.

VUYISA QABAKA

Vuyisa Qabaka has been at the forefront of African tech and innovation for over a decade. He is a partner at Hybr Group, a pan-African innovation and start-up advisory firm.

Known to everyone as ‘Chief’ in the Cape Town tech community where he lives and works, Qabaka works with blue chip companies, helping them to improve business outcomes and processes, as well as identify and source talent. Vuyisa will be sketching how Africa will be fuelling tech innovation to solve local problems.

WESLEY DIPHOKO

Diphoko is passionate about bridging the digital divide. When he is not documenting innovation stories via FastCompany magazine he is dedicating his time to community development by building a smart township in Kayamandi, Stellenbosch where he was born and bred. He will deliver a lecture on what it will take to build Smart Communities with tech through collaboration with communities.
