1. Neuro Cognitive Impairment - what is dementia really?

The word “dementia” has been removed as a diagnostic label from the DSM 5 (diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders, 5th edition) and replaced with the term Neurocognitive impairment. We discuss the reason for this and the etiology of the condition.

**Dementia Dialogues is a 12-part series hosted on the last Thursday of every month (the December workshop will take place on the 2nd Thursday) at Nazareth House Cape Town.
