May is Africa month – a time when we commemorate the founding of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU).

What better time to start "AFROZODIAC" - a series of boutique, intimate sitdown performances showcasing authentic emerging, existing and established talent from our beloved land. We look up to the stars. We call on our ancestors to show us the way of a forgotten constellation.

Musik Ye Afrika makes your problems drown as the sun goes down. It's swirling Afro Island Jazz in a glass of ice cubes by the river, lake or sea. Louis - the African Clapton - Mhlanga on guitar; Jimi - the Smile - Phiri on bass; And Riaan, The Generator, Van Rensburg on drums, mystify you with sweet folk tales, harmonies and melodies.

With Sun Xa your roots go down deep into inner earth and your spirit high up to ancient african constellations as their ancestral healing music brings equilibrium to your soul. Sun Xa is trippy. Sun Xa is tribal. Sun Xa is real.

Cito describes Frans' songs as "Thought-provoking, post-apocalyptic, donker AF protest music" . Hunter says “Frans is a Boer Shaman...reaping thoughts of an alternative history...twisting the Karoo horizon into a sinister magical landscape". For Jet Black Camaro he lit up Mphephu. For the SAMA nominated Gunshot Blue he burns frankincense. And as Frans Karoo you can catch a whiff of white sage at his solo shows.
