ABOUT
IBHUNGA, Nozuko Madokwe and Nyauist explore the convergence of tradition, cultural preservation; of history, identity and other related concepts from the perspective of creatives navigating the intersection between culture, heritage, city life and distilled vocabulary of sonic, abstract forms to address the environment and modernism.
This exploration through improvised sound, live art abstraction examining earth as the unseen and human psycho-geography, looking at sound, orality, as an archive and the history ,indigenous knowledge systems as a methodology. This will be an array of conceptual, audio - visual language selection; as our first installation, these established artists conduct the series of visual and sonic conversations with the offering of a quest dialogue to give shape to art history, subtle and cosmic spiritual portal transient; leading us to the closeness to earth ecology.
