More about the Bands:
DubbLoons was formed in 2018, performing under the banner of ‘the Inland Pirate Band’. Their unique style of fun and musicality has made them a hit with young and old. The DubbLoons play corporate events, weddings, festivals and functions. Some of the events include Nedbank Golf Challenge (Sun City), Okavango Delta Festival (Botswana), The Old Bridge (Maun), Gypsy Party (Vaalplasie), a year-long monthly residency at Marshall’s Craft Eatery (Johannesburg) , Agar’s Brewery St Patricks Day event, Hell’s Kitchen (Melville) and the Jazz Farm’s Spring Fair.
The Unsinkable Fruitbat Orchestra (aka the “U.F.O. Experience”)
Is a Jozi band that has been lurking in the mysterious depths of the underground local musical scene since 2003... although we have formalised a tight and reproducible "structured show" our production is improvisational, styled on the experimental and experiential music of jam bands like the Grateful Dead, Gong, The Doors and The Jimi Hendrix experience.
The drumming performances are led by talented and passionate musicians who are skilled in a variety of African and Latin drumming styles. They put on a show that is both energetic and captivating, and it's hard not to get caught up in the rhythm and excitement of the performances.
In addition to the live performances, the interactive drumming sessions are an excellent way for the audience to participate in the music-making. The sessions are led by experienced drumming instructors who guide the participants through a range of drumming techniques and rhythms. The instructors are patient and encouraging, which makes the experience enjoyable for drummers of all skill levels.
The overall atmosphere at Klitsgras Drumming is lively and inclusive. The audience is made up of people from all walks of life, and everyone is encouraged to join in and have fun. The food and drinks on offer are also excellent, and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
Overall, Klitsgras Drumming is a great place to experience the joy and excitement of live drumming performances. It's a perfect venue for a night out with friends or a team-building event, and it's an experience that is not to be missed.
