Muizenberg Festival Dog Show

Muizenberg is well known for its vibrant and diverse community, its magical waters, mountain and vlei (enjoyed by man and dog alike) but now it’s time for the dogs to have their time to shine.

On the 15th of October 2016, as part of the Muizenberg Festival, The Muizenberg Festival Dog Show (MFDS) fundraiser is taking place.  This event is a celebration and appreciation of all things ‘dog’.  You'll be entertained by incredible dog performances and educational demonstrations and of course, the one and only MFDS competition. All Muizenberg dogs and their friends in greater Cape Town are invited to enter and stand the chance to win prizes for categories such as biggest dog, best trained, friendliest dog, etc.   All money raised will go to Mdzananda Animal Clinic and the Animal Welfare Society of Cape Town. This is a fun event for the whole family to celebrate Cape Town’s dog community and raise money for animal/rescue organisations doing valuable work.

The MFDS competition categories are as follows:

• Owner look alike
• Best dog photo
• Prettiest
• Most handsome
• Fastest
• Fluffiest
• Friendliest
• Best friends
• Best trained/trick
• Golden oldie
• Cutest puppy
• Muizenberg Festival Dog of the Year
