ABOUT

The Greenlight Movement has been in existence for the last 8 years and is made up of over 120 organisations based in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, all of whom use the Greenlight social methodology and metrics to measure, understand, evidence, and articulate their social impact programs. These organisations include non-profits, social enterprises, and commercial companies. It’s a fascinating and uplifting mix of organisations, all wanting to significantly move the needle of transformation when it comes to improving the quality of people’s lives. 

Every second year, the Members and a range of interested external Stakeholders gather to present, explore, share, and collaborate around the insights and learnings from their programmes and impact projects. This conference provides Greenlight Members, attendees, stakeholders, government and universities with key real-time quantitative and qualitative insights into the poverty and development sector.

In a world where poverty is still a pervasive issue, one thing has become clear: not only must we find creative and collaborative ways of working together, but we need to work differently if we wish to foster lasting impact. The Movement recognises that true transformation requires a joint effort between those seeking to escape poverty and the organisations that support them in their efforts.  The Greenlight Movement takes a unique approach, one that requires us to be conscious, connected, and courageous at every turn. We're conscious of the challenges we face and the impact we can make, we're connected to our communities and to each other, and we're un-apologetically courageous in our pursuit of change. It is the convergence of these three elements that will create real and healing change
