In die Stilte van my Tuin

Mezzo-soprano Kirsten Pienaar and pianist Alex Beaven present a programme of garden songs, music inspired by the natural beauty of our own backyards. From Handel to Sondheim, the duo will explore the multitude of art songs and arias written about flowers and ferns, greenery and gardens. The programme includes repertoire from Schubert, Schumann, Mahler and Van Wyk, featuring music both familiar and new.

Join us for the debut picnic-setting concert at the Stellenbosch Botanical Garden for an evening of enchanting music in the heart of Matieland. You are invited to bring a picnic and a warm blanket for a true open air concert experience.

In the case of loadshedding or poor weather, a new venue will be chosen and communicated - the show must indeed go on!
