In the words of Melissa Kimble, "this world does not move without Black creativity.” Reel to Reality Festival is so proud to honour and celebrate the black child through our our first, but not last Community Screening, in partnership with Ekasi Movie Experience. We will be showcasing a selection of African diasporic animations and shorts to children in Umlazi, KZN on the 25th of March. This partnership is particularly important because it presents the opportunity to return to the communities that raise so many young creatives, yet lack access to African diasporic cinema. Entrance is free to the public and children below the age of 16 will be given priority.
