Perfomances By Zikamdali:

A singer, song writer and musical creative mind born in Mthatha raised in Pretoria we she discovered and harnessed her musical skills. Zikamdali meaning Gift of the Creator is now a PE based perfoming artist whose sound is versatile and unique, perfoming along side Zolani Mahola and Mxo.

This beautifull songstress will share her own amazing sound leading us into the screening of the documentary and perfomance by Xhanti Nokwali

Xhanti Nokwali:

Xhanti Nokwali born Engcobo Entseleni, is an independent musical artist based in East London. Xhanti mostly expresses himself as a singer-songwriter whose music is inspired by the experiences with people, Pan- Africanism and the introspection of self. The introspective energy in Xhanti’s music looks into African society, exploring the effects of colonialism, modernity as a cause for the identity crisis many find themselves in, in Africa. The soundscape in Xhanti's music is strongly influenced by tribal music and embodies jazz, folk, maskhandi, gospel, all expressed through voice and guitar. It is truly dynamic in the way it is projected and in how it relates with people.

Xhanti passion for song writing has seen him from a 14 year old, in a church acapella group, to a self-taught guitarist and to sharing stages with the likes of Umle, Itai Hakim, The Brother moves on, The Muffins, Nomsa Mazwai, Msaki and Dumza Maswana.

Xhanti has recorded and released an album in 2022 titled Umthombo, an amazing compilation of Ingoma, working with Ndunduzo Makhathini as producer and many of South Africa's amazing musicians.

Xhanti Nokwali will take us on a spiritual journey through his music, sifumane intlambuluko, an amazing form of healing.
