Born and raised in Johannesburg, Keenan Meyer is a classically trained pianist, composer and Mandela Rhodes Scholar who has been shaped by his experiences growing up in South Africa. His research on Protest Music during #FeesMustFall and apartheid coupled with his strong background in Classical music have resulted in a unique compositional and performance style that will leave audiences in awe.

Meyer's debut album is a personal reflection of his journey and a tribute to the music he loves,

including the South African Jazz idiom and the tonal palette of Jazz icon Abdullah Ibrahim.

This album is a snapshot of his influences, experiences, and his connection to South Africa's rich musical heritage.

The Marabi Club has been noted by the New York Times as a must-visit destination for music lovers, making it the perfect venue for this special performance by Keenan Meyer.
