In this interactive mentorship session she will review both medical aid and IOD billing codes that relate to the treatment, splinting and fabrication of pressure garments for the injured hand.

About the presenter:
Leandi qualified as an OT in 2010. She furthered her studies in the filed of Hand Therapy and completed her Diploma in Hand Therapy through the University of Pretoria. She has more than 10 years of experience in the fields of Hand Therapy, Burns, Physical Rehabiliation and Voc Rehab. She completed all the modules regarding assessment and treatment of pain through the Train Pain Academy. She regularly attends the National Hand Surgery and Therapy congress and the International Hand Surgery and Therapy Congress that is held tri-annually. As Occupational Therapy does not end at acute clinical management, she furthered her studies to address psychosocial barriers to return to work through case management.
She is the owner of a private practice in Richards Bay – Richter Therapy Inc. Leandi has won an international award in the recognition of significant contribution to the rheabilation of patients with burns injuries.
She serves on the Compensation of Injury on Duty (COID) task team for the Occupational Therapy Association of South Africa (OTASA) and Institute of Private Practitioners (INSTOPP).
