King Kind

Bio:

This kind of royalty doesn’t bring people to their knees but rather up onto their feet, moving dance floors and warming hearts with energetic, soulful, and authentic performances. King Kind have been making a crested mark on the Cape Town scene with a special focus on collaboration, be that with other bands around town or between the genres they bend to their will. Their tasteful grooves and engaging stage presence fuse the likes of Flea and Hendrix, Mercury and Marvin Gaye, but most importantly: rhythm and groove, all serving as a reminder: Remember To Be Kind.

Almost Alive

AKA “The Entjie Killers” a skinny-jean rock band based in Cape Town. Performing in and around Cape

Town and Stellenbosch they’ve gained a reputation for their energetic performances and versatile setlist. Their music is dirty, raw, funky with blends of retro and modern sounds reminiscent of Arctic Monkeys and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Face Jackson

As always, the hosts return to ignite the stage with their electric performances. Over and over again, the band has been noted for the incredible energy they bring to each of their performances. Their mixture of rock, hip-hop, funk and reggae has been likened to Sticky fingers, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Sublime - as such they are a versatile bunch.

Cicero

Born in Cape Town, Cicero (aka Conor James White), took to the scene in late 2021, releasing “Conscious Calculations” on Spotify. With influences such as Dennis Cruz, Nina Kraviz, Ron Costa and Bicep, Cicero’s sounds are always sonically sweet and nostalgic, with a hard hitting groovy low end.

Along with playing his own productions, Cicero takes his audience on a journey of movement through low bass heavy beats, varying in many tempos and genres including: melodic tech, deep tech, deep house, peak time, downtempo, and desert tech.

Shmikesss

SHMIKESSS is a Cape Town based cinematographer, DJ and producer that has always been drawn to the immersive narrative of the audio visual experience. It shows in his music taste - guiding listeners through a profound journey of soundscapes. Inspired by a deeper psychological narrative of collective consciousness, he aims to create sounds (and imagery) that celebrate the magnificence of life in all its forms. SHMIKESSS is attracted to many genre’s but is passionate about groovy, racey, rolling basslines that get the crowd wiggling and energized. 

With only a year into production, SHMIKESSS has seen his first single 'Visions' release on the legendary Berlin label - Katermukke. His distinct sound and contagious energy has quickly launched him as a DJ, artist and events co-ordinator around many festivals in South Africa, as well as abroad in Hawaii and Germany.

Vann

Vann, although new to the scene, has swiftly gained recognition for her innate musical aptitudes.

With a distinct affinity for melodic and driving techno, Vann also expresses herself in other high energy tunes such as funky house and indie dance where she guarantees an aural experience for any crowd.

Vann draws her musical inspiration from the likes of Victor Ruiz, Amelie Lens, Peggy Gou and Fred Again. Come join Vannz to make them dance.
