GUEST SPEAKERS
Guest Speakers
Scilla Edmonds
When the Birches Pre-Primary School garden and environmental project started in 1993, few learners showed interest.
Today, almost all in the school have embraced it. ‘And there’s so much to learn and so much to do here every day”, says Scilla Edmonds, the principal of the school, which is in KwaZulu-Natal.
She heads up the school’s environmental project and its key role is to direct environmental activities, but most of the work is done by teachers, learners and groundspeople, who keep the projects alive. ‘We’ve been involved in environmental issues since 1993. When the school couldn’t raise enough funds to build sports facilities, we decided to start a garden instead,” says Edmonds.
Anneme Coetzee
Anneme is a Master Life Coach and is VERY passionate about her clients – she believes this is her true life purpose. This Durban North Life Coach helps clients find the resources inside themselves to start creating the results they want. Freeing yourself from the past is very rewarding and an important necessary step toward creating your future.
Jane Troughton
Jane is very passionate about the environment and deeply concerned about the health of all living systems.
She is endeavouring to live with consciousness and as gently as possible, with her carbon footprint in mind. She extends her energy into her community, getting involved in projects and organisations that share our intentions.
