Johannesburg born Megan Kahts studied in Pretoria and moved to Vienna in 2009 where she completed her studies with distinction. She is an internationally very well-established Mezzo-soprano, especially in the field of Baroque music and Viennese Classic. She excelled as Costanza in Hayden’s “L’ Isola disabitata” judged to be a ‘star’ and’ excellent’.2019 she did “ Musica Austria Gloriosa” at the Rand Club; 2022 she appeared for SITTOPERA ™ in our concert: “Baroque and Roll” & in Cape Town Opera productions as Cherubino in Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro” and in G.F. Haendel’s “Alcina’ as Ruggiero under the direction of Magdalena Minnaar. Over this Christmas she did great concerts in Japan and is now again back in South Africa. 

Daniel Heide was born in the town of Weimar, being a cultural centre since the 18^th century. He studied there at the Franz Liszt Academy. He is one of the most asked for piano performers, both in the fields of chamber music and accompanying great voices and performs mainly in Europe and East Asia. 2011 he launched “The lyric drawing room” at Ettersburg Castle near Weimar, accompanying outstanding voices in more than 70 events. Since 2016 he did recordings which won prestigious awards. At present he records the complete art songs of Franz Liszt on seven CDs. For 13 years he works also as music instructor at the University for Music in Berlin and the Franz Liszt Academy in Weimar. He also initiated a series of lectures and interviews about general art themes. In the last three years he concentrated on performing all Beethoven and Schubert sonatas. Now for the first time in South Africa!
