As For Me and My House

The theme for our family conference this year is “As For Me and My House”.  

The passage from Joshua 24:15 “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord,” is a popular phrase and is often printed on plaques in people’s homes but is a challenge to live out in practice. Within this verse, Joshua is making a declaration about what matters most to him and his household. As a church, we want to explore what it means today to serve the Lord as a family unit living in the year 2023.

The conference is divided into four different sessions which include:

• Friday Evening, the 27th of January 18:00 to 21:00

Speaker: Dr. Brendan Belsham

Title: Screen culture and your family

• Saturday Morning, the 28th of January 08:00 to 12:00

Different sessions will be held based off the various categories below:

Adults who are married or in-relationships and parents

Speaker: Ps. Barrett and Sarah-Jane Grieve

Adults who are single, widowed, divorced, or separated

Speaker: Phumla Motsa

Young adults between the ages of 18 and above

Speaker: Ps. Charl van Wyk

Teens between the ages of 13 and 18 years old

Speaker: Ps. Willem van der Waal

• Saturday Evening, the 28th of January 18:00 to 19:30

Worship and Ministry Evening

• Sunday Morning, the 29th of January 09:00 to 11:00

Speaker: Ps. Craig Rowe

Please book tickets according to the session you will attend on the Saturday morning. The R60 cost covers all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Sessions.

There will be a separate children's conference, run over the same times as above, over the weekend in a separate venue for children between the ages of 3 and 12 years. Please book tickets for them with your booking.

Please note: food and beverages will be on sale on the Friday evening and Saturday morning and lunch.
