Simply Blended Events is a female owned company that's passionate about healing Nondumiso "Ndumie" Zathu-Makhado is a healer by calling, a daughter and sister by birth, a mother by choice, a wife in love, and God fearing being by faith.


Mental illness, violence, abuse amongst other challenges are on the rise in our country and globally hence Simply Blended initiated to bring you a reality event where men & women, parents, youth, will be given a platform to have conversations and discuss real issues in a lovingly fun, empathetic and safe environment where the opinions and truth of all concerned are validated.

Hence, Simply Blended’s vision through our Real Talks, is to create a safe platform where our audience can talk and share advice about life challenges. We want to bring restored hope, a will to live, healing by bringing impactful change to people's lives. The name of our Talks is called "Real Talk with Ndumie" presented in Seasons & Episodes.

We don't pre-determine the topics at our Real Talks, we discuss real life stories. None of what our audience will experience will be staged or rehearsed in any way. Our space allows for umbhodlo session ( loosely translated to debriefing as named by Dadewethu - Keep Moving Dadewethu KMD)

Ikhona Gogo popularly known as Dadewethu is a Social Worker by profession, an influencer, personal blogger of Keep Moving Dadewethu . She has an aspiration to empower women both socially and psychologically. She established the KMD Blog in 2019 after having survived and walked out of toxic relationship. The believes that the world needs generations that won't have to heal from childhood wounds; that is why KMD encourages resilience, empowerment and healing so that women can raised happy unwounded children.



Dr Zuma attained his PhD in Social Psychology in 2013 from University of Cape Town (UCT) and the University of St Andrews, Scotland. Between 2013-2016, Buhle worked as a researcher and lecturer in the Department of Psychology, UCT. Dr Zuma has held numerous leadership roles in organisations such as the South African Psychological Society, and the Mandela Rhodes Foundation. He is also the recipient of several awards and scholarships. Presently, he works as a senior research specialist at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC).

 

Dr Zuma’s has been working as a psycho-spiritual leadership consultant, life coach, and facilitator since 2016. His work mainly focuses on personal leadership, masculine identities, and family relationships. Some of his clients include The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation, The South African Education Project, St Andrews School for Girls, Stellenbosch University, University, University of Cape Town, Zeitz MOCCA Museum, South African Sea cadets and the City of Cape Town. 

 


Nondumiso "Ndumie" Zathu-Makhado is a healer by calling, a daughter and sister by birth, a mother by choice, a wife in love, and God fearing being by faith. She comes from humble beginnings and graduated with Cum Laude from the University of Life but along the way she has had her fight with depression, suffered loss but never gave up. She believes and is a testament to the “fall 7 times; get up 8” quote. Sure, there have been moments where she paused and felt burnt out and tired but always found comfort in reflecting and remembering her blessings by practicing gratitude.


The memorable milestone in Ndumie life amount to being the first graduate in the family, being blessed with twins, recently emerging as a social entrepreneur force to be reckoned with.


She started the Talks in 2021 when she was in healing the process, after +15 years of being a public servant in Western Cape Government, Premier's department, passionately serving the citizens of the Western Cape in partnership with Department of Health, Social Development, Cultural Affairs & Sport. Her passionate for events and healing started when she led some of the 2010 World Cup Premier's department initiatives.


Ndumie is a firm believer “Jack of all trades is a master of NONE but is often better than master of ONE!! quoted by Masi Zonyana, hence Simply Blended collaborates or partners with other healers in different aspects of professions such social workers, psychologists, spiritual healers, counsellors, preachers, influencers anyone who brings healing to the table in order to bring you healing in a broader spectrum.
