Kink as a Self Care Practice with Caritia (Berlin)

Fri Jan 6, 19:00 - Fri Jan 6, 21:00

Private venue

ABOUT

We are thrilled to invite Caritia (all pronouns) to hold space at Embodiment. Caritia is a rope artist, space-holder, organiser and co-founder of the kink education organisations, Karada House and Oh Yes Please. Caritia brings together multiple elements (shibari, butoh, meditation, spoken word and more) to facilitate curated spaces, for film, theatre, photographic and ritual projects which invite people to explore their bodies holistically – physically, emotionally, sexually, mentally & gender expression, to bring a deeper curiosity to their sense of being.

We have invited them to go back to basics with us, with a series of workshops aimed at helping those in our community who have never explored kink before unearth the language to describe their needs and desires. This workshop is also suitable for seasoned kinksters who never got the opportunity to have this kind of space held for their inquiry, or would like a space to reflect on and celebrate their journey in kink.

About Caritia

Caritia lives as an LGBTQAI+, gender-fluid, BiPoC (assigned female at birth) individual. Walking a path with invisible disabilities and the living challenges which accompany that life. Educator, creative and ongoing work in process, whose advocacy for establishing boundaries is as strong as the desire to love with truth and honesty. On a quiet mission to destigmatise difference and return power to each individual. Using the language of kink to the point of geeky excitement. Caritia’s fascination with the root/the body stems from a longing too deeply ‘listen’ to (her) body holistically, from the inside out.
