THE "TINTANIC" EXHIBITION - DISASTER CLASS WORKSHOPS

The "TINTANIC" is the largest TITANIC model in Africa - made of "tin". The famous replica was created by local South African Artist Gino Hart and has traveled the entire country over the last 5 years. It took three years to construct *(2013 - 2017) the mammoth 8.7 m *(27 ft.) replica and it boasts more than 4000+ rooms on 9 different internal deck levels. The "TINTANIC" is based on the famous ocean liner TITANIC which was claimed to be "unsinkable" but struck an iceberg and sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in April of 1912. It is by all counts the most famous shipwreck in the world!

In proud partnership with the main branding sponsor Vinolia - the original advertiser for the real TITANIC in 1912 - and Lonehill Shopping Centre the "TINTANIC" invites visitors to the famous attraction to become PART OF THE ART!

DISASTER CLASS WORKSHOPS

Workshops are held every Saturday and Sunday via three distinct classes with seating for 10 visitors/ "Passengers" per voyage into history. Bookings must be made in advance either directly at the "TINTANIC" EXHIBIT or via QUICKET ONLINE TICKETS which issues either First, Second or Third Class Passenger Tickets - to remind the visitor of the time and the workshop date. "Passengers" are given the opportunity and invited to interact with the artwork by adding their own replica artwork creations in miniature. Visitors are provided with all the tools of the art trade *(kits, glues, paints, brushes, water, art stations etc.) and are guided via video tutorials and/or direct instruction from the artist to construct x2 miniature Deck Chairs (for example) in the likeness of those already installed on the "TINTANIC" model. One of the items created is placed on board the "TINTANIC" for final installation and the other is sent home with the "Passenger" as a keepsake!
