ABOUT

Embrace, the Movement for Mothers, invites you to a screening of Push Comes to Shove - Stories of Obstetric Violence taking place in Cape Town.

This collection of short stories, produced by Makhulu Media, takes a deep dive into obstetric violence in South Africa, told from the perspectives of four women who have experienced this form of obstetric violence. The films explore the lived experiences of four survivors of obstetric violence. The fifth and final film in the series foregrounds and contextualises obstetric violence, and includes the expert voices of researchers, activists and health workers working to end obstetric violence.

We cordially invite you to join us at a screening taking place at 17h30 to 20h00 on Thursday, 8 December at The Old Granary, 11 Buitenkant Street, Cape Town
