Jungle Theatre Company (JTC) is proud to present the revival of their show Hoerikwaggo and launch of “Hoerikwaggo – A Tale of Two Baboons” - a book based on the show written by Sedick Sasman. The event will be hosted by the Norval Foundation Learning Centre and is taking place on Saturday 12 November from 10am to 12pm.
The programme is as follows:
· Hoerikwaggo performance – Amphitheatre (45 mins)
· Book launch: “Hoerikwaggo - A Tale of Two Baboons” by Sedick Sasman (15 mins)
· Snack break: popcorn & juice (30 mins)
· Interactive workshop in Norval’s sculpture garden (30 mins)
Hoerikwaggo tells the story of Knuckles and Smiley, two young baboons who are sent on an adventure from their home in Cape Point all the way to Table Mountain, on a quest to return a human baby to its family. Leaving the safety of their range, the trailblazing baboons embark on a hilarious journey, encountering other creatures, unique plants, and heritage sites. They discover the beauty and history of the peninsula with the help of a seagull guide.
Tickets for the full programme cost R50 per person which includes entrance to the venue. Seats are limited so please be sure to book timely. The show is suitable for all ages.
Hard copies of the book will be for sale at R160 per book (cash only) and one copy will be given away as a prize to one lucky winner who can answer a question about the show!
