4.9km = no age restriction

  Information for the Hon Rangers Night race results. All forms or race tags will be

   shredded 4 weeks after the event. You also hereby agree to give consent to be

   photographed at the event and photos to be shared on social media and news

   papers.

WAIVER AND INDEMNITY 

I the runner (name on the entry)

do hereby declare that I am older than twenty-one (21) years of age and that my participation in any activity involving any land, vehicle, water, facility or other asset of KEMJV or De Beers Consolidated Mines Limited (“De Beers”) shall at all times be subject to the following acknowledgements and conditions, namely;

1.        I fully appreciate the nature of the risks associated with my participation in any activity, in particular, but not limited to, the risks associated with the conveyance of people in open vehicles in rough terrain, walking over uneven ground and proximity to deep water reservoirs, thorn-bearing trees and schrubs, inhospitable outdoor conditions, unpurified water and dangerous or poisonous wild animals, birds, reptiles, insects and plants, loaded fire-arms, knives and other weapons used during culling and hunting procedures.

2.        I acknowledge that I shall be fully entitled to decline to participate in any activity at my sole and absolute discretion and risk.

3.        I hereby waive all claims against KEMJV or De Beers and the Rooifontein Wildlife Club arising from the loss of or damage to any goods under my control or arising from my injury or death during the course of my participation in any activity.

4.        I indemnify KEMJV or De Beers and the Rooifontein Wildlife Club against all claims (including claims by my dependants) arising from the loss of or damage to any goods belonging to or controlled by me or arising from my injury or death during the course of my participation in any activity.

5.        I furthermore indemnify KEMJV or De Beers and the Rooifontein Wildlife Club against any loss, damage or injury which they may suffer as a result of any act or omission on my part.

6.        I declare that I am in good health, physically fit and capable of withstanding the rigorous nature of any activity that I will undertake and that I have taken (or alternatively have personally decided to dispense with) full medical advice before undertaking any activity.

MINOR CHILDREN

7.        I do hereby declare that I am the Parent/Legal guardian of the minor children (name on the entry)

and further declare that the child’s participation in any activity involving any land, vehicle, water, facility or other asset of KEMJV or De Beers Consolidated Mines Limited (“De Beers”) shall at all times be subject to the following acknowledgements and conditions, namely;

7.1       I fully appreciate the nature of the risks associated with the child’s participation in any activity, in particular, but not limited to, the risks associated with the conveyance of people in open vehicles in rough terrain, walking over uneven ground and proximity to deep water reservoirs, thorn-bearing trees and shrubs, inhospitable outdoor conditions, unpurified water and dangerous or poisonous wild animals (e.g. Buffalo), birds, reptiles, insects and plants, loaded fire-arms, knives and other weapons used during culling and hunting procedures.

7.2       I acknowledge that the child shall participate in any activity voluntarily and at OWN risk.

7.3       I indemnify KEMJV or De Beers and the Rooifontein Wildlife Club against all claims and also hereby waive all claims that I may have against KEMJV or De Beers and the Rooifontein Wildlife Club, of whatsoever nature arising from the loss of or damage to any of my goods or the child’s goods or the goods of any other person or the injury or death of the child or the injury or death of any other person during the course of the child’s participation in any activity.

7.4       I furthermore indemnify KEMJV or De Beers and the Rooifontein Wildlife Club against any loss, damage or injury which they may suffer as a result of any act or omission on the part of the child.
