ABOUT
Come and enjoy an unparalleled music experience, “There’s Music In The Air”, with violinist Neo
Motsatse, on Saturday 29 October 2022 at the Youngblood Artist Hub, 70-74 Bree Street, Cape Town at
19:30.
“There’s Music In The Air” celebrates a critical milestone in the music journey of Neo Motsatse, the
twenty two year old South African violin soloist. It celebrates Neo’s growing recognition as a performing
artist – permeating the air with the beauty of music – as well as celebrating her debut single by the same
name. Through this performance and the launch of the single, Neo is staking her claim in the global
music universe.
Neo, “a-must-not-miss-artist”, will be performing an array of symphonic arrangements of iconic South
African music blended with some light classical pieces and well known contemporary songs. She will also
give a special introduction of her single, “There’s Music In The Air,” which will be performed live for the
first time since its release.
The range of the artistic work will take the audience through a tapestry of feelings and evoke responses
from eyes-closed-face-to-the-sky, through to tapping and clapping and to outright stomping and jiving.
The setting, the Youngblood Artist Hub in Cape Town, together with a tight band of young musicians -
Neo’s contemporaries - from UCT affirm that indeed there’ll be plenty of music in the air on Saturday, 29
October 2022 at 19:30.
The single, There’s Music In The Air”, is an adaptation of Letta Mbulu’s “There’s Music In The Air”
composed by Caiphus Semenya and Will Jennings.
