In his new poems Jacques Coetzee explores ‘how to shape a ritual’. He looks at how it is often when we are most uncertain, when we feel cornered or exposed, that poetry comes to the rescue, offering a space in which to shape our experience until it feels coherent again.

In her new poems, Elisa tries to capture the relationship between the inner and the outer in her poetry - the ways in which language can capture details of experience and transcend the emotion beyond the ordinary.
