Are you ready for our stunning new venue?

We have hired the Bijou Theatre in Observatory. The Bijou is one of the few remaining art deco theatres left in South Africa. This is another magnificent example of William Hood Grant’s architectural design and was opened as a cinema in 1941. It is currently home to a blacksmith/artist, coffee shop and art and photography studios. The building is graded as 3A by Local Heritage. This is an amazing venue!

Subversion_9 will feature a sexy dancefloor, a high-quality sound rig and our resident Subversion DJs. We have different areas that are separate to the dancefloor including 4 toilets. As per all Subversion events, the emphasis is on entertainment, a sexy dancefloor, great music and BDSM play.

Entertainment:

• Dancefloor with good sound system, smoke machine, lasers & LED lighting
• DJ Dark Fader will be coaxing our aural pleasure with an indie/goth/electronica/alternative set
• DJ Deep Leigh will crank up the heat with some deep-level house
• Impact play display from Sir Canes Hard
• Burlesque from the rather gorgeous Diva Disaster
• Kinky Trick or Treating hosted by Rogue Vixen
• Subs and Kinky Services Auction hosted by MasterDV8
• Play equipment from Unit_13
• The Firebird Cafe coffee shop will be serving coffees for your late night caffeine fix
• Sexy lounge & play area with furniture, tables and chairs etc.
• Collars, harnesses and other sexy bits on sale by Zar Goth Emporium (Yoco and cash accepted)
• Please note that this is a BYOB event. Not licensed. Bring your own cooler box/bag and ice. We provide glasses
• We have professional and kink-friendly event security at the venue and outside

Please note:

• A cloakroom will be available at R10 per item. The cloakroom ends at 1.15 am sharp
• We open the doors at 6.30 PM and end the event at 1.30 AM sharp
• You need to think about Ubers/Bolt before the end of the event please
• Please note that Subversion has a STRICT dress code. Kink and fetish outfits only
• The theme is Halloween with a sexy, fetish twist. A straight-forward Halloween outfit doesn't cut it
• No refunds if you do not adhere to the dress code and can't get through the door...
• The minimum dress code is all black. No civvies, jeans, t-shirts, branded clothing
• This is a kink party. Not a Sunday picnic...
• You will need to sign an indemnity form at the door
• There are NO tickets on the door and the door is strictly controlled
• No under 18s allowed
• No refunds are offered

8.30 pm - Burlesque by Diva Disaster

8.30 pm to 9.30 pm - Kinky Trick or Treating hosted by R0gueV1xen and crew

8.45 pm to 9 pm - Subs & Kinky Services Auction hosted by MasterDv8

9 pm to 11 pm - Goth/Alt/Indy set switching to Prog/Tech/Deep house from Dark Fader

10 pm to 10.15 pm - Impact Display from SirCanesHard

11 pm to 1.30 pm - Tech/deep house from Deep Leigh

1.30 am Doors close - order your Ubers early. Cloakroom closes at 1.30 sharp!
