Our ambassador for Blue Note Africa gifts us with a performance and celebration of his new album "The Spirit of Ntu". He last played at The Olympia in 2019 with Minu Cinelu.
Internationally acclaimed and award winning South African, jazz pianist, Nduduzo Makhathini is performing in a series of celebratory and thanksgiving concerts in the Cape in uMandulo? (September), which is Heritage Month. uMandulo? - is regarded as the beginning of the African calendar and for Makhathini, the month is in sync with where he is now, grateful for the reception that he has received during his 2022 tours in the USA and Europe
On this night he perfroms with poet Mbuso Khoza on vocals, Justin Bellairs on saxophone, Dane Paris on drums and Steven De Souza on bass.
