The Songmakers' Guild presents: Songmakers-at-home revisited - a lockdown lucky dip

As many of our regular supporters could not make use of the live streaming series we presented during the lockdown period, we are happy to bring you a mixture of regular and off-beat repertoire Albie recorded with some of our regular singers.

The categories singers were required to choose from were: a German Lied, a non-German art song, an art song in English (British or American or South African), a fun song or cross-over cabaret-style song and a song that had specific meaning for the singer during the period of lockdown.

With Janel Speelman-van Rooyen (soprano), Barend van der Westhuizen (baritone) and Albie van Schalkwyk (piano) featuring art songs by Beethoven, Schumann, Duparc, Stefans Grové, Pieter de Villiers, Astor Piazzolla and Tom Cipullo.
