ABOUT
Liz and Frank invite their estranged friends, Martin and Carol, for a dinner party. Carol struggles to remain calm, Martin drinks through the discomfort and Frank attempts to lighten the mood. On the other hand, Liz puppeteers the night away with her daughter’s plastic doll, Peggy Pickett, and Annie Abenie, a wooden figure received as a gift from Martin and Carol. The mixture of wine, envy, comparison and regret may not play out well for these four physicians. In this dramatic comedy Roland Shimmelpfennig critiques the complex nature of issues such as power and neo-colonialism.
