St Andrew's Presbytarian Church, De Waterkant
Forty choral singers from various Cape Town-based choirs perform Thomas Tallis’s legendary 40-part motet, Spem in alium. The eight choirs of five voices each will be spread throughout the interior of the church, supported by several historical keyboard instruments.
The performances will be conducted by Patrick Cordery, and each performance will include two hearings of the work, which will give the audience the opportunity to move to a different seating position to get a second aural vantage point on the work.
Date: Saturday, 24 September
Time: 13:00, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00.
Venue: St Andrew’s Presbytarian Church, De Waterkant
