ABOUT
This workshop is a one of a kind painting experience guided by a live soundscape performance by Paul Boyter; a professional percussionist, mindfulness practitioner, and permaculturist, with a passion for integrative methodologies and therapies.
The musical component comprises of an array of soothing meditative instruments such as the monochord, Tibetan singing bowls, handpan, drums and percussion. This experience is designed to settle the 3 most common tensions - physical tension, mental tension, and emotional tension.
Participants are invited to lay on their backs with comfortable bedding. Once in place participants are guided through a series of relaxation techniques to further settle and ground, leading gracefully into the musical journey, which will inspire visual responses through abstract painting and mark making. This settling neurol experience transports participants through the various states of a resting mind and body from calm integrative alpha state to a deep dream like state.
