Prof. Jeremy Simpson Lecture

The Learner’s Journey is very excited to announce that world-renowned scientist Professor Jeremy Simpson from University College Dublin is visiting South Africa. Outside his duties at UCD, Professor Simpson travels the world speaking to high school, undergraduate and postgraduate students to inspire them about a career in science and ignite their curiosity for further education. With many speaking engagements all over the globe, including China, India and Nigeria, this will be Professor Simpson’s third visit to South Africa. This time we would like to invite parents as well to participate in this opportunity. Professor Simpson continues to do cutting-edge research in cell biology as the College Principal and Dean of Science for the UCD College of Science. He is also a funded investigator at Curam, the centre for research in medical devices - where the vision is the development of affordable, innovative, and transformative device-based solutions to treat global chronic diseases. Inspiring young minds is Professor Simpson’s gift, and it is our honour to be able to welcome him to Herschel for an open guest lecture on 15 September.
