Are you touched by the experience of cancer in some way? Perhaps you have supported someone through their healing journey? You may have lost a dear friend or a family member. Or do you find yourself celebrating your triumph over the journey with cancer?
As we are so much more than the stories we weave, let us unite and dance in celebration of all those we carry in our hearts with great tenderness.
DANCE FOR CHOC CHILDHOOD CANCER FOUNDATION SOUTH AFRICA
Secret Sunrise will be bringing joy to the cancer community by holding a dance on the 10th September for cancer patients, survivors and caretakers of all ages (i.e all those who have been or are currently affected by cancer).
Our aim is to host a Secret Sunrise session for 1000 attendees. Using headphone technology, two of our accredited facilitators will guide participants through a series of music of all genres - encompassing a variety of mindful practices, including meditation, breath work, movement and dance.
33.3% of ticket sales will go towards CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa.
THE VALUE OF ATTENDING
The formulae which makes Secret Sunrise such a success over the past decade includes evidence based health benefits underpinned by a science called psychoneuroimmunology. If we tracked only our autonomic nervous system state using basic heart rate metrics (sympathetic vs parasympathetic) it would blow minds how dramatic that shift would be during and afterwards - and this is the core of our mental and emotional health which causes health improvement as an outcome which is measurable.
