EDRO 1-Day Workshop - The Littlebits BitOlympic Challenge
Dream it. Design it. Do it!
Winning over 25 Tech and Education awards, littleBits are a tool that may very well change the way our young people engage with the world. Littlebits are modular, snap together electronics that allow participants to design almost anything from the bottom up. Participating in an EDRO Littlebits workshop is a ticket to four hours of off the wall creativity.
Join us as we play, prototype and problem solving while having the time of our life. Not only are EDRO littleBits workshops outrageous fun but they are a profound experience in ‘Design Thinking’ a skill more relevant than ever to today’s world.
The littleBits BitOlympic Challenge
The month of August sees the start of the Olympic Games. The month of July sees the start of the BitOlympic Challenge! This is your chance to revolutionise one of six different sports with your crazy inventions. Think you can invent a better table tennis paddle that slingshots the ball onto the opponents half? Think you can create a better starting system for the 100m finals? Come and turn your sporting inventions into a reality! This is a WORLDWIDE challenge issued by littleBits themselves. Our inventions will be documented and entered to compete for up to $5000 worth of littleBits prizes.
All children are asked to bring their adult to an awards ceremony at the end of the day where every Sporting Invention will receive one of our unique EDRO awards. Pictures and videos are an absolute essential.
