ABOUT

FitSlim 2022 gets you ready for summer this September

One of the highlights on the Run/Walk For Life calendar is the annual FitSlim Challenge, which marks the end of winter each year. Held from 5 September to 29 October 2022, the FitSlim Challenge will again offer participants the opportunity to intensely pursue their weight-loss and fitness goals over the course of eight weeks. Organised by Run/Walk For Life and sister company eatForLife, the FitSlim Challenge is a novel event, with both weight loss and fitness at its core.

People who take part in FitSlim 2022 will not only have the chance to walk away with a new body and improved self-esteem, but will also receive eight-week memberships for the nutritional and weight management programme, eatForLife, as well as the popular fitness programme, Run/Walk For Life. By the end of the eight weeks, national, regional and team prize winners who come out on top in terms of percentage weight lost, combined with the number of Run/Walk For Life sessions attended, will be awarded with great prizes, too!

What makes the FitSlim Challenge a unique annual opportunity to reset one’s weight and fitness goals, is clear from the name of the challenge.

To aid participants in attaining their weight-loss and health objectives, the eatForLife programme gives participants and teams access to an individually tailored eating plan, together with weekly weight monitoring at their nearest Run/Walk For Life Club.

Run/Walk For Life takes the reigns in the fitness leg of the challenge, and eight weeks’ access to the programme includes a medical screening, shoe advice, fitness benchmarking and tracking, and a scientific exercise programme, tailored to the goals and abilities of each individual participant.

After the overall percentage weight loss of individuals and teams, together with the number of RWFL sessions attended have been calculated, prizes will be awarded to the overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize nationally, and to the 1st and 2nd teams nationally.
