Jim Beam is bringing us together. The merging of artists, venues, and music lovers. The feeling of being a part of the SA music scene with the launch of their Jim Beam Welcome Sessions. The Welcome Sessions are all about creating connections between amazing acts, some you wouldn’t ordinarily expect to feature together. It’s a demonstration of their shared love for the music and the local scene to remind fans of the essence of live music, that welcoming spirit – something they’ve been missing over these long months.
Welcome back live music with Red Robyn and Qadasi & Maqhinga on the 3rd of September at The Vern in Kwazulu-Natal. Two performances, one night. Brought to you by the world’s number one bourbon.
Red Robyn is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who captivates listeners with her unique fusion of indie-pop sound. Earwormy hooks meet her lilting vocals as she crafts energy-fuelled offerings packed full of emotion.
Qadasi & Maqhinga are a SAMA award-winning duo from Empangeni who are looking to revive the unique strains of Maskandi music. They have taken their distinctive blend of traditional Zulu sound and western folk to audiences across UK, Europe, Asia, and throughout South Africa, and continue to craft dynamic cross-pollinated grooves.
