Obakeng Moroe is Bloemfontein born, Johanessburg based comedian with his comedy roots starting in the City of Cape Town. In 2019, within a few months of starting his stand up career, He won the Kasi world comedy showdown competition which saw him perform alongside some of the best comedians in the country at the highly acclaimed Jive Cape Town Funny Festival. 

Since then he’s played many stages and worked with some of the best South African comedians like Tumi Morake, Sifiso Nene, Nik Rabinowitz, Thabiso Mhlongo, Tsitsi Chiumya, KG Mokgadi and many others.

Since Moving to Johannesburg he’s been steadily cementing his name in the Johannesburg comedy industry and honing his craft on the way to becoming a future household name.

Obakeng is a witty, energetic and outspoken comedian who shares stories about growing up in Bloemfontein, navigating the city of Cape Town and Johannesburg as an outsider and telling funny stories about his life and failed attempt at becoming a hip-hop star.
