This heritage month, on Friday 9th September at Leano Stage; The 'Indelible Storyteller' Pilani Bubu presents a launch evening for the upcoming Folklore Festival. A preview of her upcoming album: Folklore Chapter 2, with guest artist features: Muneyi & Leomile, This Folklore Fringe show marks the road to the Folklore 'Culture & Heritage' Festival in October 2022.

Folklore is the collective body of culture from a group of people, passed down through generations by word of mouth. Made of music, sayings proverbs, jokes, tales and more. My passion around documenting and preserving African Folklore, is centred around the idea that a lot of it has been destroyed or undocumented. This is what founded the Folklore Community.

This album Folklore Chapter 2- Ekuseni, is a continuation from her SAMA-Award Winning Album Folklore Chapter 1.

What you can expect from this chapter: "This album explores the journey of how an African child aligns with her calling and purpose by understanding her inheritances and gifts through connection & consent with elders and ancestors. Exploring the conversation through African spirituality, divination, and knowledge transfer. This project came to me intuited , inspired and composed in my dreamscapes - both night and day, consciously and subconsciously" - Pilani Bubu
