About

Casta Diva Vissi d’ Arte Theatre brings you "She Wept Colour", the first work by exciting new playwright Zanele Nondzimba. We invite you to travel back in time when shoulder pads were considered fashionable and the state of emergency was at the tip of everyone’s tongue.  Revisit the era when our great leader walked down the dusty streets of South Africa for the first time in decades.

Set in Gelvandale, Port Elizabeth in 1990, She Wept Colour is a story about four sisters who are brought together by tragedy – their father’s passing.  Rage!  Sadness!  Secrets! Envy! Isolation! Our true colours come out during funerals when emotions are high; and this play is a mirror of what happens when untold truths come to light.  Add to that hair and skin colour politics and you have a recipe for disaster.  Join the Johnson family as their story unfolds in a riveting, unexpected manner.

Directed by Zanele Nondzimba and Ntombi Ntanzi; we bring you a captivating cast in this one act play.
Starring Merlyn Dunn, Tracy Daniels, Miquel Brookstein and Zanele Nondzimba. With Iefke Worst, Kenneth Daniels, Maud Daniels and Astrid Swarts.

Dinner can be booked separately at Charisma restaurant at the venue. Please call 012 542 4449 or 076 470 3173 or email [email protected] Dinner is served until 20h30.
