ABOUT

Cast off the winter blues on a musical note at the V&A Waterfront’s Acoustics Underground series, showcasing performances from top local musicians in the intimate and historic setting of the Chavonnes Battery Museum. The series of performances ends on an extremely high note with Judith Sephuma and Camillo Lombard on Wednesday, 18 August. These acclaimed giants of the jazz genre require little introduction, and with Sephuma’s spectacular vocal range and Lombard keyboard genius, the audience can expect pure musical magic on the night.

Local favorite Jeremy Olivier will also be performing on the evening. Jeremy’s music career began in his small, home town of Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe, where his passion for guitar catapulted him into a gigging rock band, touring the country from the age of 14.Now, well established as a guitarist and vocalist in South Africa, Jeremy has performed with some great international artists, such as George Benson, Katherine Jenkins, Jonathan Butler and more recently, Daniel Bedingfield and just made the top 4 in the first South African "The Voice" show after which he signed a new deal with Universal Records

Performances are limited to 200 guests, and a cash bar will be available on the evening. Doors open at 7pm, and performances are scheduled to start at 7.30pm.
